Meet Kaliyah Burris, MS, OTR/L
Kaliyah Burris, MS, OTR/L, is the founder and owner of Spectacular Kids Occupational Therapy in Bronxville, NY. With over 8 years of pediatric experience, she has worked with children of all ages and abilities, supporting a wide range of sensory, emotional, developmental, neurological, motor, feeding, and everyday functional needs.
With a background rooted in both pediatric development and mental health, Kaliyah brings a holistic, child- and family-centered approach to therapy. She looks beyond individual challenges to understand the whole child—how they move, play, learn, regulate, connect, and participate in the world around them. Through evidence-based practice, purposeful play, and individualized care, she helps children build meaningful skills, confidence, and independence across home, school, and community life.
At the heart of Kaliyah’s approach is creating a space where children feel comfortable being themselves—seen, heard, supported, and motivated to grow. She believes meaningful progress begins with connection and values working closely with parents and caregivers so therapy remains personal, collaborative, and centered around what matters most to each child and family.
As a mom of one, soon to be two, Kaliyah brings an added understanding of how important it is for families to feel heard and confident in their child’s care. She earned her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University. Kaliyah is also SOS Feeding trained and certified in children’s yoga, further supporting her whole-child approach to pediatric care.
About Spectacular Kids OT
Spectacular Kids Occupational Therapy is a boutique, family-centered pediatric practice providing individualized care from infancy through adolescence. Our approach blends pediatric development and mental wellness, with specialized support in emotional regulation, sensory processing, behavioral support, self-awareness, feeding, early intervention, motor development, and everyday functioning.
Through evidence-based, child-led care, we look beyond individual challenges to understand the whole child and build strong foundations for participation at home, at school, and in the community. Our practice also incorporates expertise in early childhood development, sensory-based feeding, primitive reflexes, and physical and mental wellness to support each child’s unique developmental journey.
